2026 update: There is no single fixed official opening date for North Bali International Airport. Based on developer PT BIBU Panji Sakti’s statements and government documents, the most credible timeline is a first operational runway around 2027–2028, initial commercial flights in 2028–2029, and a full terminal and Aerocity by 2030, reaching full 50-million-passenger capacity from 2035 onward. Until any of that happens, every flight to Bali still lands at Ngurah Rai (DPS) in the south.

The Indonesian government recognised Ngurah Rai would reach capacity by the mid-2020s.
