Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find my driver at Bali Airport?

Your driver will be waiting at the international arrivals exit holding a name board with your name. You’ll also receive your driver’s WhatsApp number in your booking confirmation so you can contact them directly upon landing.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

We monitor all flights in real-time. If your flight is delayed, your driver automatically adjusts their arrival time. You won’t be charged any extra fees for flight delays beyond your control.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance. However, we can often accommodate last-minute bookings — contact us via WhatsApp and we’ll do our best to arrange a driver.

Are prices per person or per vehicle?

All our transfer prices are per vehicle, not per person. Up to 4 passengers can share a standard vehicle at the same rate. Larger groups should book a Hi-Ace van.

Can I request stops during the transfer?

Yes, short stops at convenience stores or petrol stations are usually accommodated at no extra charge. For sightseeing stops, we recommend booking a full-day car charter instead.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash on arrival (USD, EUR, IDR, AUD, SGD), bank transfer, and PayPal. Payment is made directly to the driver upon arrival at your destination.

Do your drivers speak English?

Yes, all our drivers speak conversational English. Many also speak additional languages including Mandarin and Japanese.

Is a child seat available?

Yes, child seats can be arranged on request. Please mention this when booking so we can ensure the appropriate seat is fitted in your vehicle.

What is your cancellation policy?

Free cancellation is available up to 24 hours before your scheduled transfer. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a 50% fee. No-shows will be charged the full amount.

Do you provide transfers for departures too?

Absolutely. We provide both arrival (airport pickup) and departure (hotel to airport) transfers. Please provide your hotel address and departure flight time when booking a departure transfer.

Transfer Booking and Payment Questions

How far in advance should I book my Bali airport transfer?

We recommend booking your airport transfer at least 48 hours before your arrival for guaranteed availability, especially during peak season months of July, August, December, and January. However, we accept last-minute bookings up to 6 hours before your flight lands, subject to driver availability. For group transfers requiring larger vehicles (6+ passengers) or special requests like child seats, booking 72 hours in advance is advisable to ensure your specific vehicle requirements are met.

What payment methods do you accept?

North Bali Airports accepts multiple payment methods for your convenience. You can pay online via credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) or bank transfer at the time of booking. Alternatively, you can pay your driver directly in cash upon arrival — we accept Indonesian Rupiah (IDR), US Dollars (USD), Australian Dollars (AUD), and Euros (EUR) at competitive exchange rates. For corporate clients and travel agencies, we offer invoice-based billing with NET 30 terms.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Flight delays are common and we handle them seamlessly. Our team monitors your flight status in real time using airline tracking systems. If your flight is delayed, your driver’s pickup time is automatically adjusted — there is no need for you to contact us. We provide free waiting time of up to 60 minutes after your flight actually lands (not the scheduled time) to account for immigration, luggage collection, and customs clearance. For delays exceeding 3 hours, we will contact you via WhatsApp to reconfirm your transfer arrangements.

Vehicle and Driver Questions

What type of vehicle will pick me up?

Your vehicle type depends on the number of passengers and luggage volume. Solo travelers and couples receive a comfortable sedan or Toyota Avanza MPV. Groups of 3-4 passengers with luggage get a spacious Toyota Innova. Larger groups of 5-8 passengers are assigned a Toyota HiAce minivan. For premium service, the Toyota Alphard luxury MPV is available at an additional charge. All vehicles are air-conditioned, regularly maintained, fully insured, and equipped with bottled water for passengers.

Do your drivers speak English?

Yes, all North Bali Airports drivers speak conversational English sufficient for comfortable communication throughout your journey. Our drivers undergo language training and are selected partly based on their English communication skills. They can discuss route options, recommend local attractions and restaurants, explain cultural sites you pass along the way, and handle any questions or requests during your transfer. For travelers who speak Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia), our drivers are of course fluent in their native language as well.

Can I request a specific driver for my return transfer?

Absolutely. Many of our repeat clients develop a rapport with their driver and prefer to request the same person for subsequent transfers. Simply mention your preferred driver’s name when booking your return trip, and we will do our best to assign them. This is especially popular among travelers staying in North Bali for extended periods who appreciate the consistency and personal connection of having a familiar driver for multiple transfers and day trips.

Route and Destination Questions

Can we make stops along the way during the transfer?

Yes, scenic photo stops of 10-15 minutes are included in all transfers at no extra charge. Popular stopping points on the route to North Bali include the Jatiluwih rice terraces viewpoint, Ulun Danu Beratan Temple lake overlook, the Twin Lakes of Buyan and Tamblingan, and the northern descent panorama point with views of the Bali Sea. For longer stops exceeding 30 minutes (such as visiting a temple or having lunch), a modest additional waiting charge of IDR 50,000 per 30 minutes applies. Your driver will be happy to suggest the best stopping points based on your interests and the time of day.
